I hunted in over 70 degree temperature difference from a year ago.
Negative -22.3 degrees and killed my 4 geese in less than an hour, only set out 7 decoys. I never heard another shot.
Yesterday driving to the field it was 48 degrees , only had one shooting opportunity. One goose.
I really think the hunt was more enjoyable watching the steam come out of the blind than picking up decoys in the slimy mud.

What do geese do along the great lakes where they had those big dumps of snow. Last with our snow I saw guys set up decoys along a road where geese had been feeding the day before!

I was in Antarctica 22-26 Dec. Ambient most days was in the low 30s, although it reached 46 one afternoon. Came back to Ohio where it was 22, wind chill 13 and 8" of snow on my car. Weather was better in Antarctica.

Noticed that by Wednesday, the low in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada will be -28F with a nice warm up of -22F.

Good to know that if anyone dies from this that it wasn't the cold, but rather global warming that's to blame...

"This week’s cold weather is probably being caused at least in part by global warming"

    - Jonathan Overpeck
    Climate scientist, University of Michigan.

Going to be cold down here for the week and then a rapid warm up for the weekend...
