Time to make or buy a new one as mine is 25 years old and worn out. My last one was a 2 piece 10 footer that served me well. We boat and use a quad sometimes to move around the ranches so it has to be collapsible.

Maybe a painters pole or such. I really like the Purdy paint pole and I can make a turned flange to bolt the gig to it.

    Any ideas ?.

Yep, Painters pole with the red push button lock on it. Can adjust relatively quietly on the fly depending on the length of the gig.

Mine is a "premier" brand pole.

Nah, got access to a couple of new ranches and the ponds are full of big frogs that were still out last weekend. Just looking to get ready.

A fly rod always worked for me, be sure to use a barbless hook, make it's easier to remove from there tongue.

Duck boat push pole the extending type, you most likely already have one lay'in around. Or make a hawaiian sling out of fiberglass tent poles and some rubber tubing, weld a 3 prong spear head onto a slip on Farrel and epoxy it on to the tent poles .:yes
