    Dear friends;

    I wish I had taken more such pics this season in NW Indiana. For the days we gunned Lake Michigan though, action was a bit slow.

    Except for this day. A fresh North wind and cloudy skies greeted the Apprentice and I when we set up. The apprentice did the first hour in the layout, with not a bird in sight. He radioed me that he wished to switch out, so I traded spots with him. As sometimes is the case, the Bluebills suddenly decided to fly, and came from far offshore.

    I snapped this pic, then put the camera down. Picking up my 28 gauge loaded with Bismuth 4s, limits came too quick with shots inside of 25 yards. The Apprentice limited out too, that morning.

    These are the sights that keep us fixated throughout that most dreaded time of year... the offseason. We'll all be out there in earnest again next year, with high hopes and dreams of Bluebills, Redheads, Cans, etc. dancing in our heads.

    I hope the pic reminds you of similar occurrences.

    God Bless All,

    Mark Rongers

    Dear Ramsey;

    Best wishes with GetDucks.com

    Very exciting!!

    I think of you often, and the day we hunted across from the Blacktop together. What I wouldn't have given to have had my tender and a layout boat that day! Ole Parker would have loved it!

    We must do a hunt together again. Do you have opportunities for Panhandle Snows using a layout boat?

    Happy New Year, and God Bless you and yours,

    Mark

    Hell Yes! We'll paint that sucker white and drag it out in the middle of 10 dozen hardcore decoys!

    GetDucks.com is keeping me very busy, but I look very much forward to losing my layout boat virginity on a MLB hunt one day when things slow up. Either there or the monkey ranch. Right now there's only so many days I can spend away from home. Best regards and tell Tom and Greg hello.
