My Jelly Head choke likes the 3" Remington 1 7/8 Oz. Lead 4x6 Duplex shell even better than it likes the 3" Winchester 1 7/8 Oz. Lead #5 shells which I have been very fond of. The Tight Wad choke wasn't as impressive.

The 4x6 is a mean shell, at least in my gun. Patterns just like Hevi 13 #6 at 30 yards. (No working digital camera to post photos with) It tore up the turkey's head and neck on the paper target like Swiss cheese. This is my new favorite Lead load.

Thanks for posting the article Joe, good info.

I wil be using a differant turkey gun this year and will pattern some of the recommended, Winchester Supreme Elite HD in 23/4 oz of #5's.

I have scouted a couple of big boys that I could not get close shots on last year.

    I think they're up near $6 a pop.

3.5" Hevi-13 #5's out of a pure gold choke. This is the combo that I have been using out of a Nova for past 5 years and I will probably stick with it.

I did buy a new semi auto this year and just bought a Jelly Head choke so I am going to be patterning some new loads. Would like to stay with Hevi-13 if it patterns well with the choke and gun combo:tu

I shoot Nitro's with a backup of a Winchester Xtended Range 6's. The Xtended 6's throw a less dense pattern that may be very helpful in case of a second shot on a moving bird.
Spctr, my patterning yesterday put 276 in that magical 10" circle at 40 yards. They are something aren't they?
