New to Georgia and wondered what sort of diving ducks are around-from the big lakes to the coast.
Up here in NW GA we shoot blackjacks and an occaisional bill.
Lots of ringnecks and cans on Seminole. Also see a few buffelheads, bluebills and redheads.
Quite a few puddlers too - Greenheads, widgeon, gadwalls, teal and woodies.
In SE Georgia, we used to (a couple years ago) shoot tons of bluebills, and some jacks. Very few puddlers where we hunted, except woodies and teal, and the occaisional mallard, black and mottleds.
Thanks for the info! Now I have an excuse to get more decoys!
River, i may have bumped into you sometime if you hunt it alot. Do you hunt it from a boat or you have a private hole?
he is trying to steal your spot now river
Mostly private here in GA, but in AL we hunt out of an Xpress or an Alumaweld.
, no need for me to steal any spots. . . i should have said that i used to hunt the Coosa alot, hunted it twice this year. I have a buddy that farms a ton of land along the Coosa, starting up at the plant and then on down River road. You familiar with any of these guys?
