Well those pics confirmed that I have a massive monoculture of water pepper. Probably 20 acres in the middle of my 65 acre unit. I'm not going to wipe it out 100% but I'm gonna knock it back pretty good. I, heading out there tomorrow. I will grab some pics. Thanks everyone for the help! This forum is a wealth of knowledge/experience!

Twenty of sixty-five is a lot. I would take out at least half of it. It can turn an area into a huge monoculture if you have issues draining the area fully or have a really wet summer.

    Clayton-

I was planning on hitting it with glyphosate until July then switching to 2,4-d amine in my spot sprayer to get the rest of what I want. Should I try to disturb the area after spraying with a light disk? Or just let it roll?

I sprayed water pepper about month ago in patches. Good rain very good release of BYG and other grasses- maybe better results later-

Spray it and let die to see how much bare grd is showing. If little bare grd is showing you may need to disk. Patches that have been in place for years can smother new growth even when dead as there are so many layers of stems.

I have found that 2 oz plus 1 oz surfactant works best on just about all- 2.4D and glyphosate. Maybe a little stronger on cattails.
