What type of upland do you hunt?

    love to hunt chukars with my buddies pointers. Will be chasing huns too. Love blue grouse and sage. Got my eyes on a Himalayan Snowcock hunt..that would be a one time deal. tough bird to hunt only know of a couple guys that have shot them...

    My son talks about hunting snowcock. He has encountered them while fishing, but has yet to try hunting them.

    Couple of chukars from last weekends opener. Good population of both chukar and quail this year.

    I have a Savage 20 Ga S x S I Bird hunt with (Dove, Quail, Pheasant and Woodcock.) and I'm looking for a 16 S x S but MAN!....they are expensive!:eek:

    FLYFISHER: Do you, by chance, Fly fish the Trukee any there by Reno?

    Ruger Gold Label 12ga. Really too nice to take chukar hunting but it's light and well balanced, easy to carry. Anymore I need all the help I can get.

    Pheasants in Kansas. Dusky Grouse, dove, quail here in New Mexico.

    just back from Up North Sconnie. Good ruffie numbers - GREAT woodcock numbers - must have hit the migration dead on for doodles - couldn't hardly spit out yer chew without hitting a mud bat.

    Just got back from our DIY trip to Manitoba for mostly ducks/geese. But we always try to get on some upland while there. This time we chased Sharpies, Huns and Prairie Chickens. I also hunt ditch chickens, quail, ruffs, and woodcock.

    That country looks "chuckaree..." I might have to drive up that way sometime and look for some of them.
