I shoot a Minolta 5D bought it about 6 months ago. Used to shoot a Minolta 700SI.

My main lens so far is a Minolta 300mm F/4.0 APO HS, Picked it up on ebay for about 50% off and love it. You can add a 1.4x or a 2x and still autofocus.

I want to pick up a 80-200 f/2.8 next when i can afford a good one. I have a sigma 70-300 apo lens that is ok but will keep my eyes open for the minolts white 2.8 someday.

here are links to my photo pages that I change as i get new pics~

And my dogs page from the time we brought him home I had the 5d, Before that I had a real nice Kodak DC280 that we used for about 4500 pics a little workhorse 2mp point and shoot that still works well.

Guys, have you ever niticed that when we look down through these big lenses at those ducks just a few yards away that they still look a lot smaller then what we were hoping for in the shot? THat reminds me of when I was taking those ringer shots used in the background of the pictures I posted...I took a guy out there with me that insisted on going.Claimed he was a professional photographer and duck stamp artist...wore a bright yellow coat till I made him reverse it (Blue inside), and pulled out a 100mm lens to take shots of birds 75-100 yards away. You can see how large the birds were with my 400mm...imagine how large they were with his outfit...he maybe could ID them. BUT...it did give me a great story to tell later on!:grvn

Shout out to Dave Shady...What host do you use for you photos. The file size and clarity really shows. I cannot seem to get it with photobucket, I don't mind paying for a host at all...just don't know where to go. Just to stay on topic and am currently using a Canon Rebel XT/350D with a kit lens and a Canon 75-300 f.4.0-5.6 with a battery grip. I am half way to have a Canon 100-4000 IS L-series lens along with the 70-200IS L-series. The 100-400 L-series looks to be the lens for outdoor photography.

I just purchased the Digital Rebel XT and got a 75-300mm USM lens. I would love to get an L series lens with Image Stabilization but can't afford it right now, so maybe next year. It should arrive on Monday and I can't wait to start shooting.

It's great to see this new forum open up. Usually when I go duck hunting I leave the equipment behind. I work as a photojournalist, so I usually am running away from work when I'm in the blind.

Right now my kit contains the following:

    Nikon D2Hs
    12-24 f4G
    17-55mm f2.8G
    70-200mm f2.8G IS
    300mm f2.8
    400mm f2.8
    SB 800
    1.4x

Here are a few images to share with y'all. In fact I'm actually inspired to take the kit to the blind. Of course that's a few months away.
