Well....I swithched cameras. Early on in this thread I posted that I was shooting with a Konica/Minolta Maxxum 5D, but now that camera is in the capable hands of my number one son, Marc (Squaller).

I made a decision to go over to Canon last June, based on a lot of research on the internet, and talking to other photographers. Canon offers a tremendous array of lenses, and after going back and forth between Nikon, and Canon, I decided on the later for a few minor reasons, however, I know I'd have been happy with either line.

I went with the Canon EOS 30D, last June, and got the L series 100-400mm zoom lense with stabilization.....quite an initial $$$ setback, but well worth the price. I have since purchased some other Canon lenses, but for the great majority of my bird shots, I prefer the 100-400 lense.

Pelican Guide, hope you dont mind, sharpened your pic a bit with Focus Magic. If you have Photoshop you can fix it in there too! Nice pic.

    Canon 50 1.8
    Sigma 70-300 4.5

Has anyone else with the Canon 20D had any focusing problems?
