I hunt turkeys here in Oklahoma. Our turkey flocks start to bust up and start gobbling about March 1st. Our season in south central Oklahoma starts April 6th.

Our season starts in the middle of April in Kentucky the gobbling usually starts about the first of April.I have heard several birds gobble this fall while deer hunting.

We hear some start as early as late Feb., but usually it is mid to late March when the birds around here start gobbling in earnest. The first peak is usually in mid April, just prior to our season opening.
