Sometimes a good hunt will show up!
Got a text last night from my buddy Adam saying " I must be a sucker for this punishment, let's try this" hoping we would run into some local geese with everything locked up. We went to one of his spots and with a very modest goose rig with some duck decoys thrown in for the "fun" of it.
Wasn't a barn burner and let a small flock of geese escape but had a blast as we picked away at the few we ducks we saw and the duck gods gave up some leg iron...( PSA - turn off your phone when hunting as that's always when the fowl bearing gifts will drop in - huh Adam! LOL)

Nice hunt Rob, and thanks for trying to keep these forums alive, I still enjoy reading them.
Unfortunately, The NY forum is officially dead and buried.

    Thanks Joey,
Have to kind of chuckle as I think a member here mentioned something along the lines of having to like to see some life here but has added nothing themselves...guess they are leaving it to others....

any information on the duck bands? Where were they banded? I'm going out in the morning, never know what the duck gods will bless me with.

Bones, since you've been away it has been pretty slow. Now you've returned and it's coming back to life. However, I think we should keep the defibrillator handy just in case. Merry Christmas.

Hey Mike - it was banded in Stratford CT

Charlie - nice hunt! Forum can't be only one or two contributing members - needs input from all.

We were hunting the marsh in Stratford last Friday and Saturday. My buddy got a banded duck from Raven pond in Stratford, down the road from the marsh.

Agree Rob, but the seasons are drawing to a close and there's not many chances left to post any duck pictures. You seem to be getting some good hunts.
