Well, last year at the Sanganois draw which so happened to be the very last day of more than 32 years that I worked for the State of Illinois (Retired July 31, 2016), my name was second out of the hat! I had to sit down for half-hour so my heart wouldn't explode.

    This year, nada...

So if anyone needs a blind partner to hold a blind during the week and contribute beaucoup decoys, oven/stove, etc., give me a shout!

    Wink, Wink, Nudge, Nudge....

I didnt know you were there. Sorry I missed you.
No one typically gets in as an "alternate " ?

Me, wife, rugrats and the dog went up to see Bubba (CLS Posse) and his gang and offer moral support. Had I known you were in the crowd of 996 people ( per superintendent Tony ), I would've said "hello".

A guy in front of us asked his buddy "What did he say? Was that the first name drawn?". His buddy said "No, that was the second name".
I had no idea they started the draw as the crowd wouldnt shut up enough to hear names being drawn.
If something is that important to you, shouldnt you keep it quiet, at least for ten minutes ????

"Soup of the Day = beer " :l
I got a chuckle out of that.
I had three beers a month ago at the wifes high school reunion ( my yearly quota/limit is approx 6 beers ) and I think I'm still hung-over.

Yeah, it was a mess - with the water being up. Stopped by to see Dan - cooking as usual. Congrats to him on the draw.

You are probably to far south but the will be a huge amount of people maybe as many as 200,000 head down for the eclipse on the 21st.

    Be safe
