My wife has deer hunted off and on for years and has taken several with a rifle. Last year she decided she wanted a bow. We went a few times and she got a shot at a high alert doe that ducked the arrow. Clean miss. Fast forward to this year and today is opening day. Didn't see anything this morning and this evening was slow till around 7:45. Three bucks came up the logging road leading out to the clover. When they were broadside at ten yards, they spooked and turned back the way they came before she could come to full draw. This one decided to come back. Twelve yard shot, 70 yard recovery. Mission Menace at 40 pounds, gold tip 3555s and 75 grain Muzzy three blade. Shot broke a rib going in and tip of broadhead just poked out the off shoulder.
