They don't do this where I live:

Looks like they need some more hunters around.

I was in the vet's office several years ago and a lady brought her collie in that coyotes had attacked on her back porch. They had pulled the dog's tail off.
I'm amazed that we still have our house cat. I live in a rural area of our town and hear coyotes howling several times a week maybe 100 yards away. I've had them come within 30' of me when standing on my back porch at night.

Gentleman on the land where I hunt goes through about 2 cats a year. Found a couple deer kills as well. I've seen the coyotes a couple times but never gotten a shot.

Guy trapped 5 within 150 yards of my house. Probably the reason none came in Xmas day when we tried calling. Boatload of them around right now.

We have them around and hear them almost every evening. See them on trail camera plenty of times, but have never seen one while deer hunting. It's amazing how smart they really are in avoiding predators (people) around here.

Just a FYI if u shotgun them your better off with steel 2 or B.B. bigger lead grabs hair and not much penetration

^^^ what he said. steel doesnt deform and tends to pass through and through, leaving good blood trails. .270 WIN makes good medicine without tearing em up too much.
