Does your gun have any sure cycle mods?
As stated they rust very easily. Definitely not a salt water gun. Or near water. Or if there’s rain in the forecast.
"if it's been determined that it is a "parts or workmanship" issue."
...that part is important.
If a part fails from fatigue, is that a parts issue or normal wear issue?
While I have a problem with one of my SX3s, rust has not been a problem at all. And I hunt intertidal salt water zones often. But mine are the flat black and grey shadow ones, so maybe the type of coating make the difference.
He asked about the 4. My experience was posted. Imo you cannot shave a couple hundred dollars off the price of a gun without cheapening it up by a couple hundred.
"defect in material (parts)", I'd say.
OK. So what your are saying is they have changed the coatings on all their SX4s. I have no idea on that.
IMO, he's definitely a used-car salesman masquerading as a gun writer and exponentially worse than the typical hack.
Take all of the outdoor writers with a grain of salt. Biggest problem is you know what your talking about and have enough experience to know better in many instances, a lot of the crowd they appeal to doesn't !!
