    “ Hope went dark that violent day. The whole earth 'quaked at love’s display. Three days silence in the ground this body born for heaven’s crown. On that bright and glorious day heaven opened up the grave. He’s alive and risen indeed. Praise him for the mercy tree.”

    Ephesians 6:10-18

    10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

    11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

    12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

    16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

    17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

    18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

    It was a busy weekend for my family and I as we celebrated Resurrection Sunday. Friday night we had a Praise and Worship night and Sunday we celebrate that Christ rose from the grave and is alive today sitting at the right hand of GOD. Hallelujah!!!!!!!

    With tear filled eyes I sang the song called Mercy Tree and praising my Saviour I pondered what Christ did for me on the cross, I realized that I want to keep away from sin with everything I have. My sin is what caused Him to have to die on that tree.

    From my own experiences, it just takes a little bit of dirt in our heart to give the devil a place to plant his seeds of destruction in our heart. That first drink, drug, sex, porn, a lie, stealing, murder, the first lustful look at someone else, gambling, adultery, our gods or any sin.

    This weekend celebrating Christ death, burial and resurrection, I remembered that we need to be strong in the LORD every day, every minute and every second. We need the power of His might to keep us away from sin. We need to put on the Whole Armour of GOD to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil and his armies of fallen angels. To withstand their attacks, we must depend on GOD”s strength and use every piece of His armor.

    Paul is not only writing to the body of Christ, the church but also to each person within the church. The whole body needed to be armed and protected. As we do battle against the prince of darkness, we need to fight with all the strength of the church whose power comes from the Holy Spirit.

    I wrote this WOD on Aril 10, 2014 and wanted to share this again. We need to read this, understand this and apply Paul’s word daily.

    What is GOD’ Armor for us? It is the belt, breastplate, shoes, shield, helmet and the sword.

    The Belt: Truth. The devil fights us with lies. However, we have the truth of GOD, which can defeat the lies of the devil.

    The Breastplate: Righteousness. The devil will attach our heart. This is the core of our emotions, self worth and trust. What a great place to start for the devil. GOD’s Breastplate of Righteousness protects our heart and ensures His approval. We might call this a bulletproof vest today that protects our vital areas that keeps us alive from the fiery darts of the wicked.

    The Shoes: Peace. The peace that can only come from GOD. A solid footing as we fight the battle. The shoes that GOD gives us are to motivate us to proclaim the true peace that is available only through GOD and not from the princess of this world, the devil.

    The Shield: Faith. We see so many attacks from the devil in the form of insults, failure, temptations and the false truth. The shield protects us from the fiery darts the devil throws at us. Faith is not for us to use to get around a trial, but for us to use to go straight through the trials of life. With GOD as our Shield, we can see His perspective and we can see beyond our battles and know the ultimate victory is ours.

    The Helmet: Salvation. We fight against the devil everyday. He tries to make us not to believe in Christ and our salvation. The helmet protects and fights against our mind from doubting GOD’s saving work of salvation in us.

    The Sword: Word of GOD. The word of GOD is like the sword that is use as an weapon of offense. We need to fight the world and the prince of this world with the Word of GOD. When the devil temps us, we need to trust in the GOD’s Words. Fight back is what we need to do. However, like an untrained soldier, we must train in the Word of GOD daily to be able to handle our weapon, the Sword of GOD.

    We wrestle against our enemies, demons that the devil controls. They are real, very real. The devil’s armies have a goal to destroy Christ’s church. Although we are assured of victory, we must continue to fight until Christ’s return. GOD gave us a helper, the Holy Spirit within us and His armor surrounding us.

    Each and everyday, we must put on the whole armor of GOD. We need to be in His Word, praying for GOD’s protect against the threats from the devil in our life and for our brothers and sisters protection also. We need to pray for our Pastors and leaders of our church and the leaders of this nation daily. We need to keep the dirt in the fields and not in our hearts. Lets plant the seed of Christ in others and not the dirt of deception, lies and ultimate death from Satan in others or are own hearts. This morning and every morning, put on the Whole Armor of GOD.

    “ My Savior. He can move the mountains. My God is Mighty to save. He is Mighty to save. Forever! Author of salvation He rose and conquered the grave. Jesus conquered the grave.”
