i'm only 50 years old, and been duckhunting since I was a kid. this is the worst 1st split I can remember. if it weren't for pouledeau my freezer would be empty. I actually at least seen a duck this am. a flock of slopeheads.
guess they stacked up at the duckparks in Moissuri, cause they ain't in south la. Kiss my arse steel 3's. lol [just kidding]

T-boy3, where are you hunting at? Most people shot a few.

None shot in East Pecan Island, at least by me. Grand Chenier area has been doing pretty good. At least the Red's are biting.

First split in AR was definitely the worst I've ever had, and that seemed to be the norm.

My hunters did thirty birds better this first split than last year's - but last year's first split was our worst of (now) thirteen in that location...

I made 3 hunts on PAC WMA and didn't kill any ducks. Made 1 hunt with a buddy on his lease and didn't kill any that day either. Maybe it's just me.

lets not go by how many you've killed lets talk about how many you've seen???? I basically scout everyday on the way to and from work. Ive seen very little. Hell the geese are just now start to show up in small numbers

Opening day was the only time I saw a bunch in the air, and I saw a hell of a lot. Since then they have been sitting in rest areas and unhunted sheet water.
