Would you rather go after ducks or upland game if you had only one choice? For me I think it would be upland game.

In the off season, I miss waterfowl hunting the most. However, during the first two weeks of pheasant season, I concentrate completely on pheasants.

That decision is too tough for an old retired guy like me. I usually don't make an important decision like that till the night before. :D :D :D

Both things otherwise being equal, I would go after pheasants simply because they taste better.

Completely disagree on the taste issue. Pheasant over Spoony? Maybe. Most other ducks .. no way!

    What a tough question. :z

I've had some goose hunts that gave me a rush like bowhunting whitetails, but you can only shoot 3. I've had some duck hunts that were furious, dove hunts that the barrel was hot, the best 15 minutes of shooting ever in my life at prairie chickens this year, but I think the all time best hunts I have had were quail. You know when you bust a big covey and walk them down the treeline, the whole time flushing singles and doubles? That's fun :tu

If I had to choose only one type of hunt - give me my bow and a treestand with a big Kansas Whitetail. The rush you get is un-matched :clap

If I had to choose to hunt only one bird, it would be ruffed grouse.

    The king of gamebirds!

The saying goes...."I once hunted chukars for fun, after that it was pure revenge!"
