If you are looking for a hard hitting shotgun shell to dispatch coyotes
with then you better try HeviShot Coyote shells. As good as you can
get. THese babies really pack a punch.

A few years ago I did a little test with Dead Coyote (T shot) and #4 Buck. At 35 yards the #4 buck wouldn't completely penetrate 3/4 inch plywood. The dead coyote shot completely through it out to 55 yards. I was sold. Since then I have killed several coyotes with the dead coyote and am very happy with the results.

I couldn't agree more! Alot like to use high powered rifles and after hunting yotes for a while many times they don't get real close... When they do I LOVE smoking em with shotgun and I've always got it loaded with the Hevi Shot Dead Coyote!

Like another post reflected, I've as well seen where regular lead has not penetrated very far at all. NEVER have I had a probem with Dead Coyote loads, it drops em dead in there tracks every time...

In AR, 'yotes can only be taken with T shot or smaller....#4 buck is illegal. Don't really understand why.

Over Kill? Not sure what you mean. They ( geese) usually come up very dead. Preface that with my personal favorite rifle is a 375 H&H. Duckdon

I used to pattern #4 buck at 50 yds and it would go thru 1" boards. Thats enough penetration for me.
