I had a tag last year. But lost the field I planned to hunt just days prior to the hunt to someone leasing.

Somehow got lucky and got a drew a tag agin this year. Thanks to a friend we had a field locked up last night for this morning. 10 minutes after the cranes started flying, it was all over. Watching them big birds fall is a treat.

I didn't realize WY crane season opened so early. Nice birds.

I've never killed one in here in MT. We can't hunt them south of I-90 which is really annoying, we see them all the time there.

Yep, Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah all have seasons that open 9/1. Some of the areas open a little later as well depending if they are targeting locals or migrants.
