Nice!.. good eating to boot, looks like you guys had fun, with all that cover, why didn't you stalk in closer?
Hey rookie, there 130 factory gr
There is very little cover
WHAT COVER!!! There is nothing to hide behind, no rocks, tress. It's FLAT!
I can vouch for Refugeguy, he is a hell of a shooter. He did the same thing 2 years ago. Long shots with no turret's and moving goats. He just needs to work on not killing the first buck he see's every time. All the way there he ways saying he's holdn out for a big buck n just gonna shoot his 2 doe's then focus on a big buck. Well that lasted about a half a day!
Wyoming and Montana are second maybe to Alaska for scenery - that part looks kind of blah - but thats where you find the goats - Congrats - I know what goat taste like off the farm - how do these taste? Are the does better than the bucks?
Just curious -
The meat is amazing! you can cut the back straps with a fork. As far as taste between buck or doe I cant tell the difference.
There pretty good eating due to eating lots of meadow grass and alfalfa .. I was surprised how good the first time we went and shot a bunch
