Y Board Question

    What kind of wood do you make them out of and do you paint them stain them leave them natural?? Thanks for any help

    Lots of fellas in the Chesapeake area run them -might want to ask there is you don’t get one here.

    1/2" plywood here in south Florida. Or thicker if you hunt with decoy shooters. I've used thicker (more work and weight) and thinner (flimsy) but you can figure it out. They shouldn't be expensive if made correctly.

    I was trained to seal them with oil based paint like rustoleum. Let the wood soak it up. The arms are made with the cheapest 1x2x8' I can find. Typically in the $1-2 each range. Spray them with flat back cheap spray paint.
