We had insane winds and sideways rains yesterday morning for most of our hunt. It really kept the birds on the water and not willing to decoy at first light. Plenty of bluebills flying in big bunches up high but they were very unwilling to cooperate with us.

My normal spot didn't produce so at around 8:45 I decided to pack it up and try another area. We moved about a half mile to a spot where the bluebills were crossing and tossed out a random spattering of coots and a handful of teal. The sun had started to break through and pretty soon the wind subsided as well. Jonathan and I kept our eyes to the sky in hopes of saving the morning with a diver shoot. Luckily for us the birds didn't disappoint. We managed to finish both our limits in short order had a mixed bag that included BWT, GWT, blue bills, ruddies, and redheads.

Theses two were what Jonathan came for and will be headed to Shane Smith with Squatty in the near future.
