We planted some Jap Millet a week or so ago...went back yesterday and its growing pretty good. They are only a 3 inches or so tall righ now...roots are 1-1 1/2 inches so they are going to get good water as the area holds water pretty well.

One question though...I know that in 60 days it will start producing seeds, but how long before they start dropping and how long do they drop for...If they reach maturity Beginning to mid September we dont plan on flooding till October...or should we do it earlier...how much water can Jap Millet survive in...Is it legal to replant mid to late October or is there going to be no need for that...

Another question will Jap Millet grow in standing water...how deep?

    Signed...

Clip the tops in about 30 days to postpone seed production.
