Apparently our cold temperatures on Thurs., Fri, and Saturday did the number on the birds. We also had snow on the coast. I saw HUGE flocks of geese high and heading south on Saturday while I worked on my trapping shed. From my house, I saw at least 1000 geese.

My partners pulled camp, but had another spectacular weekend. On Friday morning, they each limited out in 25 minutes!

Our temperatures are supposed to be in the 50's this week, so I bet a few birds will hang around.

thanks for the report Kusko! Hopefully we see some of those birds around Anchorage soon, not a lot of fresh birds, at least in my marsh. I saw you were going to be in the 50's, but the birds gotta be gettin the itch to head south. I think once they hit here they will leave pretty quick, hopefully they wait, it looks like we will have a couple more weeks before freeze-up.
