You know your a Christian when ...................
Please reply in one sentence.
When I wake up every morning.
Sorry... I couldn't do it in one sentence.
I know that I'm a Christian when...
When I understand, believe, and act upon the facts that:
There is a righteous, holy God.
I don't meet His criteria of righteousness because of my sins (past, present, and future), and my unrighteousness will condemn me to eternity in hell. There is nothing I alone can do to change this fact.
Since the beginning of mankind, God has required blood sacrifices of pure, spotless animals to remove His judgement against man's sins. At a certain point in history He sent Jesus Christ, his one and only son, to be the final, ultimate sacrifice for all mankind (past, present, and future). Completely without sin, Christ was sacrificed on the cross, buried, and brought back to life.
In order for my sins to be forgiven, I must: believe all of the above; confess and repent of my sins; and live a life of obedience by following the commands and instructions of Christ (as outlined in scripture and thru personal convictions of the Holy Spirit).
Although I am forgiven, I am still human with a propensity to sin. I struggle daily with temptations and failures, but I continue to turn to God with remorse and confession. My fruits (i.e. - works and actions), along with my love for my brothers and sisters in Christ, provide evidence that my faith is alive.
When I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
I suppose one can be a Christian without being saved........so
You know you're a Christian when you do then things Christ did.
+1! Got to be saved.
when you accept Him into your heart, finish the deal with being baptised, and living for Him from then on out.
...when I surrender daily to the Holy Spirit and let Him direct my day and ask forgiveness for sins and strength to over come them.
you know you are a christian when "by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
soli deo gloria
and thats about all the Latin I know...
But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. Matt 5:43-
