Your best bow kill?

    I ahve shot only two deer, this is my 3rd year hunting, both were button bucks at 5 yards or less. I blew the heart oout of both of them, one with my bow, one with my shotgun, the one with the gun dropped in its tracks, the one with the bow went 15-20 yards and expired.

    its nice to see a fellow utahn on here, nice bull and great goat. looks like the elk is in the vernal area!

    Best was a 10pt (144) typical whitetail, dressed at 232. They don't generally live long enough around here to get that big.

    each and every doe I have taken out of the mix has been good. I am proud of killing two turkeys with my bow. I have had two Pope and Young bucks in bow range the first of which I one lunged and after two days of tracking still couldn't find. I still feel sick to my stomach about that one. The second was bigger than the first and he got within 15 yards of my tree without offering a shot and walked directly away the way he came. Never could get a shot. I still have nightmares about that one to. :cry

    i killed my best bow kill this fall on nov. 14 in west central illinois. it weighed 250 field dressed and i'm estimating him at 165 P&Y typical 10 pt. still waiting to get the mount back to do official scoring. i'll get pics up as soon as my scanner starts working.
