I am in the market again for a new bow. I currently own a few from PSE and a Barracuda from Jennings. All of my bows are six years old or older. Since then I am sure some advances have been made towards reducing noise. I would like hear your feedback on what you think is quietest bow out of the box (without add-on dampeners, limb savers, etc.) on the market right now. I will use such feedback in narrowing down my options, so please be honest in your thoughts and bear in mind that I am not interested in hearing about what company has the most pro-staffers and who won the most titles. I want to know what bow is least likely to have game jumping/ducking the string. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

i'm sure every single manufacturer and every hunters allegiance will weigh in.

Mine is Hoyt, I think the cam.5 design is whisper quiet.

I shot side by side a hoyt and a mathews LX today and I felt it was louder. But honestly could have just been a different sound that I'm not immune too.

I think all the new bows are pretty darn quiet when you stick with the main brands.

Out of the box- Mathews Legacy

With a little help- Mathews Outback

I've had both and the legacy was quieter until I siliconed the limb pockets of my Outback. That made a big difference. The V-lock's usually create a little noise.

I hate to be a follower.....

MATHEWS are quietest bows around - although the Parker Phoenix is pretty quiet.

I greatly appreciate the feedback! You all have helped me narrow it down to two. (Can you guess which two?:) ) I am looking for a good antelope bow. They are hard enough to hunt with a rifle, so you can understand why I am seeking a quieter bow. Thanks again for the input!
