"Jobs 'Saved or Created' in Congressional Districts That Don't Exist"

    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/jobs-saved-created-congressional-districts-exist/story?id=9097853

Here's a stimulus success story: In Arizona's 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that's what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says.

There's one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts.

And ABC News has found many more entries for projects like this in places that are incorrectly identified.

Late Monday, officials with the Recovery Board created to track the stimulus spending, said the mistakes in crediting nonexistent congressional districts were caused by human error.

"We report what the recipients submit to us," said Ed Pound, Communications Director for the Board.

Yes....that story was featured on Rush's show and on another local talk radio show.
I heard that ABC was reporting the story but no other network news.

So I watched CBS news just to see what they were reporting.....not a word about it on CBS.

"And the errors are hardly confined to Minnesota. First reported by ABC News, administration officials say they have found 700 mistakenly credited phantom districts that have been given $6.4 billion, while supposedly creating or saving nearly 30,000 jobs."

700 errors? Yeah right. There are only 435 districts, how can anyone be that far off?

Yep...even the guy in charge of the program says he can't certify the jobs.

The government bought 9 boots for $894.00 and it was claimed to have created 9 jobs. 100 job creations claimed that only created five.

Where's the audit trails for the money?

How are they spending money and how are the recipients getting the money without audit-able records?
