Horksrworkn are you saying they have bad customer service? 4 years ago my bird eye maple COD cracked around the guts. I send it in and they replaced the part, replaced the guts and reed and retune it for free. They didn't even charge me for shipping it back to be. On the 12/26/18 I send it in again for new guts and a retune. I put a check in box for shipping back and for the new guts. I got it back yesterday with the check voided and it had new guts and had been retuned. It sounds better now than it did when I got it. I would say they have GREAT customer service. Did you have a bad experience with them or is this coming from someone else or the internet? Not trying to start a argument but good customer service is rare now days and when I see it I let people know about it. Every companies reputation is important to their business.

PWell recently I actually did have an issue with them buying reeds , they wanted to charge me 9 or 10 bucks for shipping for something that could go in an envelope for 55cents they said sorry that's the price ... Back when Fred owned it , I called the shop talked to his wife told her to please save me on the shipping , she did and changed the shipping price on the website ... but I also know a few guys that have told me they had problems with decoys and it's common knowledge that once sold to flambeu or whoever bought them the new Zink/Avian company isn't running it as good as before ..
All I run is Zink goose calls , I can't blame a guy for making a good business move for his family , just wish the big companies that buy them could leave things exactly how they were ....because that's what made them ....
Back when Avian X decoys first came out , he had massive paint issues ..... Fred being a stand up guy ... took them all back , and sent replacements all on his dime .... You don't see many big business care about their products to that level .... Doubt they'd do what Fred did but who knows ...
It cracks me up at how many guys claim to be able to run a goose call but can't tune their own calls ...... Same with a duck call .....it ain't rocket science...its tuning a call ..... Yup I'm a jackwagon sometimes:joker:l

If I tried to tune a goose call, it would sound like Godzilla doing porn. A duck call is no problem. ;)

Tuning a Duck or Goose Call .. It's not rocket science , that's for sure .... I kinda figured it out on my own yrs ago before social media came around .... But... World Goose Calling Champ Wade Willing has been kind enough to post a tutorial on tuning a goose call ..check it out ... its a sticky on this forum , top of the page ..
Give it a try ...Worst case ...you can always send it to the shop have them fix it ....

Before the season I had a old SS1 call that had a cracked reed. Seeing that this call hasn't been made in a lot of years I didn't think I could send it in. So I took a reed that I had from another call trimmed it, shaved it and put it into the SS1. It took me all last summer working on every it now and then but I now have a call that sounds better than when I got it. It came out when the COD didn't seem like it was what they wanted. First time for every thing! I came home with a lot of 5 bird limits this last season. I hunted more days than I ever have because I just retired. I will say I will never win a calling contest but I can call and kill geese and ducks. To me that is all that counts.

This is why people should learn how to tune their own calls.
