I've been wanting to make a real good Louisiana style hot link with duck or goose for a while now, and I finally came up with a formula that works. Now, I started out thinking I was going to test this with speck meat......yeah. Think again.
Hope I can still hunt at that age!
Fished Saturday with Dan (callinfowl) and a couple other blind partners. 5 keepers to 10# and released at least 15 shakers.
Trolled the San Quentin area and Paradise. Anchovies and Herring behind dodgers in 6’ - 20’ of water.
I am new to making cork decoys. made a dozen of them 30 years ago and am sure they have fallen apart by now. so i have some old dark brown cork left . yes it is 30 years old, lol. questions, #1, should i plate the bottoms with solid wood or a plywood, or none at all.
An epic snow goose hunt followed by a teal hunt. You really can't argue with the success of Habitat Flats. I really like the videos they put out.
