The Duck Hunter's Refuge, aka The Refuge Forums, is the leading online community for duck and goose hunters.
On the last hunt of the season, as we were paddling back to the truck. We jumped some ducks. They circled and came right back over us about 45 yds. My hunting partner in an epic display of skybusting, missed three times. I meanwhile, made a spectacular single shot kill on this trophy ringneck hen.
Any suggestions on how to best prepare this feast?
I've seen there are clothing exchanges on the other forums for kids stuff and wanted to see if anyone interested in doing one here.
My boy is 6 and with how quickly they grow it would be awesome to have a spot to exchange clothing with others who also have growing kids. Pass on old stuff..... pick up bigger stuff....

Being a relatively new goose hunter, I’ve gathered, for instance, traditional shell decoys are effective in the late season during extreme cold spells and/or snow covered fields, because it is common for geese to lay down in those conditions, as shell decoys present.
I have a load of them Guns and Goodies got my 870 wingmaster there no tax no paper work back in the "HEY DAY" When geese were still laying Gold Eggs.!
Fast forward to Saturday night and a fun dinner at Woolgrowers in Los Banos. After a tough nights sleep we rose and picked our blind and headed out. It took her a few three shot salutes to figure it out but when a flock of redheads came cruising through it all came together and her first duck was on the water.
Last hunt of the season went well shot a limit of drakes with a bonus euro wigeon.
