South Platte is high and fast. Been tough to hunt most of the year. Slush in both rivers the last few days.
Everything is slow right now. Geese are patterned up tight and ducks know where they're safe. Need some weather to bust them out of their patterns.

Looks like the freeze up is finally gonna happen next week. It's about time! Push the birds to the rivers and warm water sloughs.
I think that would be fine to hunt as the crop wasn't manipulated for hunting. If you did get a ticket, any decent lawyer could get you out of it.
