We work with and train in active shooter response for a variety of gov personnel. SRO’s are ok, but a very entry level solution to a heavily armed person intending to kill. I’ll venture to speculate most SRO’s have never been in a gun fight. Some guys take their roles very seriously, some...
It’s more than a suburban resource officer that makes Tik-Tok videos with the kids to make them feel “safe”
It’s the need for a professional watchdog that can balance the mission and focus with maintaining a professional security standard and observation, making a place a hard target. That is...
Looking at some of the older Olympic shooters, more open, longer LOP was their choice/desired. A new style of shooting similar to tactical fast shooting, squaring off your shoulders the the target has images of the mount (men more specifically) with their thumb almost underneath their nose, or...
Similar dots or parallels drawn to my previous comment of federal funding/pay/incentives for the safety of the kids. Add it to the educational fund, military, etc. if 2-3/school is too much to take on, supplement 1 well trained and compensated individual with local PD (local pay incentive/time...
I’ve recommended that State department with trained men, hold a federal title and are posted at schools after they move on from overseas or other contract work. With the downturn in the military deployments, there’s a possible bridge option there as well, have to be high level field training...
I’ve loaded some 2.75” 5/8oz Steel 3’s in 28gauge years back. They’ll kill ducks just fine. Curious if this option will pattern consistently for those days where ducks and geese should work in close
Long line about 4-8 on a main anchor of 3 pounds. Saves weight overall, and easy pick up. Let the wind run the lines. Depth changes in areas, so be able to adjust how far back your first decoy is
I used rig em right line with butterfly knots and small carabiners for my longline set ups
I picked up 3 boxes to test out. 118pellets is my guess for the load. I have a few 3” 28gauge guns to run these through. I could see these being used as early as September on some early geese for overall effectiveness.
I’d just use the s3 wad, or straight wall figure 8

The MG42 wad works also for 1.25-1.375 oz of bismuth shot in certain payloads 2.75” hulls and larger.
Better pattern, can an Improved modified be used? I’ve liked the consistency in Briley x2 chokes, and Carlson (delta, sporting clays, or Cremator chokes). I also like the Briley Light Full for smaller shot sizes
This new stuff claims to be hevi 12g/cc
I weighed out the overall average for the 2’s and believe it was 5.2gn/pellet overall, accounting for varied shot sizes. Field tests prove it kills geese at long range 45yards +
Before you dismantle a load for repurposing, I’d suggest trying if it in...
He mentioned an m60, not m16
I know military and police tactics. I don’t understand the decision/lack of discipline displayed with indiscriminate suppressive fire, and use of handguns shootings towards/into windows, no positive ID, or orientation of fire displayed there.. these are supposed to...
