South Platte is high and fast. Been tough to hunt most of the year. Slush in both rivers the last few days.
Everything is slow right now. Geese are patterned up tight and ducks know where they're safe. Need some weather to bust them out of their patterns.
Maybe it's like an apprentice thing. No seasoned hunter's going to choose to shoot less ducks. All we have to go off of is the survey and rumors....

I think that would be fine to hunt as the crop wasn't manipulated for hunting. If you did get a ticket, any decent lawyer could get you out of it.

Still some mallards and big geese in the Dakotas from what I've heard. Goose hunting should get better as stuff starts to freeze up north of us....
