I think the Remington 870 Wingmaster was a shotgun lots of us old timers (60y/o plus) owned at some point in our life. I will say it was my first shotgun ever. I bought it at Gemco and remember being able to walk out the door with it after purchasing it. None of this wait period BS.

Winchester Model 12. My father bought it when he got back from Korea in 1951. I shot it from about age 16 (1969) until they made us start shooting steel.

Interesting take. Without question has some classics on there. Right out of the gate number 1 could have been better classic. I wouldn’t consider the Beretta A390 a classic by any means. For sure the list gets better after that.

Ah memories. I bought my first 870 Wingmaster used from a neighborhood gun store. Still have it. When purchased it had a 30” full choke barrel with no vent rib. I’ve since replaced the barrel with a 28” vent rib and screw in chokes. I also have an 1100 Wingmaster that was gifted to me. It stays in the safe (there’s a 1980s era 870 Express in the safe too). Everything else is Benelli. ….aaannd Gemco? I bought my son a 20 gauge H&R and a .22 Marlin over the counter there for Christmas when he was 12. Those were indeed simpler times.

No surprise to me that the Winchester Super X One made the list

WTH???

Klaus and I looked over that list... After raised few eyebrows and a few "eh hems..." Klaus looked at me and said, "Well, one thing is certain. I sure wouldn't want to drink fine whisky with the guy who put 'that' list together..."

Also noticed that nobody put their name to that list... Reminds me of when my uncle, a dedicate Harley Davidson aficionado, rode a cheap Honda to work... He wore a black motorcycle helmet with a deeply tinted plexiglass face screen not because he was concerned for his safety or because of the glare on bright sunny days here in the valley..., no..., not at all... He wore that helmet because he just didn't want to be recognized on a Honda!
