Strong work to finish the season, J5KID. And some great memories for you.

Took me 11 years to shoot my first banded bird.

There's different variations of what they will come out looking like but you can tell by the wings pretty quick that there is no green wing in the mix, if it was a shoveler the bill would be larger and there'd be more white on the body. They can take on intermediate traits of both parents, as you can tell by the cinnamon colored body but the bit of a crescent and grey/blue mohawk that comes from the blue wing. If it was a green wing hybrid the wings would be different as well as green wing traits in the body The eyes of your children is all based off genetics and what their parents eye colors are

    NO Ka ,
Didn't see the post mentioning the same thing I just posted but oh well ....Man I'd buy a lotto ticket if I was you .. BTW .. This is another Cinn /Blue Wing hybrid , looks exactly like the one I mounted last year
It's an offspring of a full hybrid from what I was told by a biologist ... The one in Another post was a true hybrid , 1st hatch from cinn /bwing parents most likely .. As they breed with their own , the offspring hybrids aren't 100% Bwing/cinn .. So they're not as pretty as a first run hybrid of that makes sense ...
Nice job with the jewelry ... I Haven't shot a band in 15 yrs , never even bother looking .

Most hybrids are infertile mule ducks. They don’t breed. Just sayin.
