    Do you blood trail with that dog as well?

    Not yet, right now he is learning how to be a bird dog. He picked up some ducks/geese last year on the river out of the stationary blind and the boat.

    Once I get him steadied up on birds, I will work with him some on the blood trailing. Should not be too hard to get him at least "competent" at it.

    My guess is that he will hit the trail and run right to the deer. :) They are nice dogs.

    Here's my Pudelpointer we picked up last fall. He's been on pheasant and chukar at the game farms a few times this spring. A different game than with my old Chessie. 1.jpg 2.jpg
