I had 4 fields with 2,000+ geese in them tonight. All fields grew to that amount in 45 minutes which is good it wasn't all at once. I'll probably pick the wrong one tomorrow.

Steady cranking out lines of geese. Bailed out of IA late New Years night and took off for Missouri to chase ducks over the long weekend. Shot a few studs.
Not a limit hunt today but enough to keep the dog happy and a good day with good guys . If I was a betting man , I d bet the fat lady has sung . Don't think these birds will stick around . 2 days in a row of cleaning bird without a ounce of fat on them .. Be a few tough it out but I'm betting most book for better places in the next couple days .
Nice bird . We see more and more every year . We've killed specs last 3 years . Had some yesterday in with a big flock that wouldn't commit. Quick trip around the neighborhood shows i was probably right , looks like most booked out of here . We'll do some more driving this week , see if we find anything worth hunting. If not my only regret was my son couldn't hunt with us this weekend, was supposed to make it yesterday but a last minute situation arose at his wife's work. Love the young guys i hunt with like my own kids but id sure like a bit more blind time with him .
