I voted for option #5 but the most important thing to me is opening day. There's opening morning and then there's the rest of the season. Having a statewide opener sucks ***. Wisconsin duck hunters could have a ton more fun every year if we got to hunt multiple opening mornings.

I'm the opposite. I detest opening weekend, and all of its rumdums, with a passion.

I specifically hunt that area and most years could kill limits well into December. Instead we chase the mallards away so they don’t flair the geese that we can shoot.

After reading that, I understand why you bear hunt.

I could do some digging through old threads, but I'm pretty sure ruff said he hasn't hunted ducks in several years.

And sadly, those types of rumdums set our seasons and zones.

I haven’t hunted the opener in several years. There is a difference.

I don’t have bear dogs anymore and only tagged along on a couple hunts this summer/fall.
