After 12 seasons, I truly believe he does.
My Bride walks around a mowed path we have on the farm almost every day. Jay is always at her side or out front in the prairie grass. Today She said he walked 3-4 paces behind her the whole way. Layed about the house sleeping all day.
He hit the frigid water yesterday and broke ice with the charge and desire of a 2 year old. Brought my son his first Canvasback to hand.
They know more than we give them credit for.
GOD’s cruel joke on man,
We out live our DOGS.
Regards,

Put a few specks in the bag last weekend. Seen a few good sized groups of snows migrating. Might be a sad finish to the year.

We got honkers! Just picked up another 150 acres of good looking land to hunt. Now, if the weather cooperates, it might be a record year for us.

I haven't been out in forever., it seems like. Maybe done for the year . Dad's been not well and left us unexpectedly Friday. We lay him to rest today. Driving home the last 2 nights I did take a detour to settle my mind and watch a couple of big feeds settle in. That was a nice diversion .
