Sometimes my figuring is not correct.

But just curious why anyone would be against this?
Not trying to start a fight. Just wondering if I am missing something.

We have an early woodduck/teal season here.
5 days mixed, then woodduck closes, and teal only for another 5 days.

Seems like it is over, before it begins.

Because most duck hunters don't understand ducks, duck hunting or migration. I will never understand a "duck hunter" who wants less opportunity when the resource can support it.

The teal migration can very quick or it lingers for two weeks. The more opportunity the better....
Agree. I can't recall an opener where I didn't shoot a limit either; the teal hunt isn't affecting it that much, apparently.

Many think that the early teal season chases the birds out of their area,

Too many people think it negatively affects their precious opening day. The one weekend I try my best to not duck hunt due to the idiots that abound.

I always say Im taking the opener off, bugs, poison ivy, heat, crowds....tradition always has me out there.
