After reading some post about detecting pellets in duck or goose breasts I bought a small metal detector for making jerky. Been a while since I bit down on one and always warn folks I share goose jerky with it may have a pellet. I believe folks were talking about the garret model which is pretty expensive and found a knock off much cheaper that appears to work well. View attachment 376514
I just ordered one. I broke a tooth eating duck kabobs at Christmas. Much cheaper than the crown my dentist fixed it with.

This is a great idea. Have you guys found this to work well? I had a close call with a pellet last year.

Did it miss finding any that you later discovered?
I will report back if I found it missed on. Showed the wife and said I now need to buy a full size metal detector to see what I can find around the old farm site. We dug up a lot of chit over the years planting chit but nothing valuable and no human bones yet

Yes. Frequently. I grind a lot. Lay breasts on cut board. Run wand over. Flip run wand over.
Find a few pellets each grind in the tube of my grinder. May be operator error.
