God, you have to hate your kid to do that to them.

Thanks. And my son kills plenty of ducks with them.

Haha. That might have been me, a few years ago. Time flys. A couple of 'Fugers hooked me up with some Bismuth .410 shells right after my heart surgery (the crack you open like a crab kind) when that's all I could shoot for fear of recoil. I really enjoyed that season, because I figured every day was a gift. 3 decoys a bucket, my Model 42 and a mottled duck hole. I shot a duck or two almost every time, took no shot over 25 yards, lost no cripples. Now that steel is available everyone should try it. Well, no not EVERYONE.

I got a case from Rogers last yr. 3/4 oz 4s. It looks like u are sprinkling pepper on the water when u shoot. My boys shot quite a few birds and a couple decs with em last yr.

Im going to buy a case and going to try to shoot as many species of ducks and geese and maybe a swan as I can with them this year......

I did quite a bit of shooting with lead 7s in 3 inch shells last year and it was a blast.

Pass on the swan, is my suggestion. You will wound three before you kill one, IMHO. It's incumbent on us to use enough gun to prevent unnecessary wounding.

If you shoot the head, and you shoot them close enough , its not a problem.... i have seen 2 killed with a 28 gauge, and they were drt...... I have also shot a couple myself and they are relatively easy to kill....
