What age to introduce the Red Ryder? There are a couple guys at the club I’d also like to reintroduce the Red Ryder.
I hear you on that. I have gotten them both involved at 5, but super slow. And cut down the stock if you can do it so it will fit them! LOP is actually a little long for me, wish they would fix that! Made the mistake of ordering my daughter a pink one for xmas - but stock is plastic, so may paint the old one pink if she wishes!

I wish more guys shared images like these and less of dead birds on a tailgate. The happy faces on children, dogs and loved ones that tell the story of our journey not carcass's. Well done brother.
Really appreciate that. Feel the same way - here is another proud dad one I’ll share - first turkey for him last year! I couldn’t believe he connected, but he was sure he would!

That is great. My little guy shot his first duck - that hen spoony on Saturday - but was excited to back w his Red Ryder on Sunday. So I thought that was really fun. He is still getting comfortable w his 28 gauge - he feels the kick so I’m letting him take it at his own pace.
dude, that is excellent. I agree....dont push it too hard either witht the shotgun. Each kid handles the recoil differently. If he wants to take the red ryder let him have at it!! its so fun to watch them light up and have fun.

Good on your for passing on the greatest traditions. I love it.

Good luck on the Jr. Hunt also if you guys go out.

Great posts and pictures!!!

the story of a journey. I like that a lot Mr. Gregg. Hope you are well brother.

Gonna try to capture the story this weekend with my son on his first ever jr. Hunt.
