Logan is a success story.
He was born premie. Barely weighed a pound.
I got sick at the hospital seeing him the first time. He lived in a hospital hooked up to machines for a year. Now this is not quite right but I'm going to thank you all because your taxes and insurance paid for it . Quite a gift.
We all go thru hell on earth but that boy lived it for a year.

He made a few quacks on that cutdown olt call.

Logan fell in love with THEIRCOMMITED10.
You have another new fan bro.
He talks about you every time I pick him up.

This thread started in January when two guys named Newsome bumbled in on me at right before LST. They were ready to accept defeat..I said naw hunt here it'll be fine. Later they pulled out cutdown olt keyholes and made music. I was so jealous and wanted me some too.
I wanted to sound like them so bad.
Guess what?
They know all about this call they've heard it.
Next fall this thread goes full circle and I'll record THREE CUTDOWN OLTS in the timber.
That will be priceless to me. Thanks.

Ive been working on this cutdown technique and it's completely totally different than what I'm used to but transitioning was easy because I'm getting help. Guess who?
Anyway I practice about an hour a day.
You build up and get control then wing it and it's starts sounding like big daddy Gaddy.
I'll never do that in the woods but it is neater than anything I've ever done with duck calls.
Give me til fall and I'll share.
It's a lot of fun.

With a call this special you keep it in your shirt by your heart. They're brittle. One good smack and it's pieces.

Need new shirt I'll have my secretary get right on it.

Your wise beyond your years AB ! I used to do the same exact thing when I was blowing my old keyholes . Had a lanyard string made of trot line looked like a glorified boot lace . People looked at me funny ... like I was from 1903 . Until they heard the sound that came out the end of that keyhole insert :yes

I haven't dreamed a duck dream for decades and they're back.
Had a recurring dream. I wondered for years what the hell am I dreaming about.

Then one day I drove there. I had concocted in my mind this mythical duck hunting venue.
For years I wandered this place in my dream.
Name? Bayou Meto. The metro.
I'd never ever heard of Arkansas duck hunting and had dreamed of it for years.
I'm home.

I'm home.

Too many people there for it to be my home.
Home too me has to be peaceful.
A place that I can recluse into my inner thoughts and desires.
Like a natural Tule marsh that has corn on one side and rice and wheat on the others.
I haven't found my happy place yet after 50+ years of looking.
The place I hunt is as close to home as I have found so far.
I can work mallards and let them swing without fear of losing them to others it's a public area 15 miles from my house and free to hunt if you can get into it which I can.
Love is in the air my friend.

Not going to argue with a guy online who only wants us to know ONE THING about him.
He's a lawyer and argues for a living.
I'm not biting counselor.
You're right.
