A strange one from this season

    I think you are right. We're thinking Magpie x Mallard maybe.

    Definitely a park duck cross was he bigger than a a regular mallard? The feet look huge

    Cool bird. I used to walk at lunch in a park along the river in the city before COVID work from home. Some all white domestic ducks that you’d see all year long and lots of wild mallards show up at times. Several birds that look like mallards with unique mixes of mostly black and white. Most of them seem to stay with park ducks and you see them all year but I imagine some choose to follow the wild ducks.
