To late now, but if you wait till winter when the sap is down, they make great posts! Much better than the so called "treated" posts, that rot off at the ground in 5-10yrs.

    The joke:

Year ago they acted out a joke on Johnny Carson.
Three guys with mowers and the tax man.
Tom Dick and Harry mow each others yards every week.
    Tom pays Dick a dollar
    Dick pays Harry
    Harry pays Tom
And the tax man takes the buck. They're all in the 33% tax bracket see.

    One week later:
Tax man shows up but there is NO DOLLAR.
ITS NOW A FISCAL CRISIS! Police are called to investigate.

The rest of the story. Tom Dick and Harry mow their own lawns now. Tax man is writing an ordinance that forces ppl to pay a neighbor to mow.
    :)

I just meant worthless as for the wildlife benefits of them in the state that they are.

For 10"+ I got a price of .95bf at the mill which isn't bad.

Whatever doesn't make 10" diameter to sell to the mill will be stacked for fence posts and possibly front porch pillars.
