I agree. I've always looked at big pharma as the absolute enemy....the covid experience has done nothing to change my mind.

How many times have you seen an ad campaign for a new drug ....then months later another ad campaign to round up the victims of the same drug for a lawsuit settlement?
    Example: shingles vaccine
    Later the lawsuits.
Now they're running the get vaxd ads again on old people TV.
Scare tactics too they show this man all covered on his side with shingles. :(

I worked hundreds and hundreds of heroin overdoses in young people......the #1 commonality was that they had been prescribed drugs of some type for ADD, ADHD, etc. when they were younger. The second commonality was that they had been prescribed pain meds for wisdom teeth extraction or some other surgery.

Somehow, as a society, we got to a point where if big pharma develops it, the FDA approves it, a Dr. prescribes it, and a Pharmacist issues it, it must be ok to take. Personal health responsibility be damned. It's craziness.

Now add Govt. officials who are none of the above mandating it as is the case with the covid vaccine. I'll pass. I've seen the results of their stupidity on other issues firsthand. Now I should trust my health to them? :l :l

My mind can't be changed. Ever.

Truth. I went thru a program.
Judge-ordered but I was tossed in with the strung out on heroin people. My God. I got busted with a gram of weed. It was awful seeing them people.
Normal everyday people with good jobs...heroin addicts. One was an air traffic controller.
    had control issues :doh

Well I agree I have no desire to have my kid get a covid shot. With that said it’ll b a bumpy road similar to having to choose your career or getting a shot. They’ll mandate it to the point your kid is the outcast weirdo which will then cause people like me to cave. Just like my wife had to for her job. Most people with that young of kids aren’t just retiring or finding another job since our lives are built around our current income. Hope I’m wrong n just goes back to wishing the government would just leave us alone for the most part.

Homeschooling is getting bigger and bigger and families are adjusting to one income. In essence what they are doing is changing the lifestyle of a lot of people. In a couple of years after the vaccine has been out for a while maybe that changes but in the mean time, people will be pulling their kids.

Just in my family, (13 grandkids and 2 kids being fostered oldest is 7) only one is going to be in public school and that is only for kindergarten (at my wifes school) and maybe grades 1-3 if that long. The rest are being home schooled and It is mostly for socialization skills some of which are really tough to teach at home. There are homeschool co-ops/learning pods that are becoming more and more prevalent and are doing really good jobs at educating kids and providing some of the extra socialization stuff as well.

My wife is a public school teacher in 3rd grade and has been for 20 years. Schools have changed because families have changed and quite frankly the whole "socialization" argument is starting not to ring true be relevant anymore. People have no idea how a lot of kids are impacted by really screwed up homes. Homes that look ok on the outside but on the inside are VERY broken. The number of kids addicted to porn in elementary school for instance. People don't talk about it but porn/video games may be major contributors to kids not having the brains to learn (ADHA etc). They get diagnosed and medicated and no one checks their browser history. My son is also a teacher (5th grade) and so I am not talking about theoretical stuff this is weekly stories. Kind of like after kid works at a YMCA pool as a lifeguard you will never step foot in one again.

    The world is changing.....

Our daughter goes to private school which I’m hoping will save us at some point. Which so far it has as they’ve been in school. It would be a serious life change to go to one income. I feel the same for home school as I do for the zoom school thing. I think there’s life lessons you learn in school. Bad an good. I currently do not see me pulling my kid outta private school because of a shot. Currently
