Guys, I've been watching (and have been since it first aired) "Deadiest Catch." Now I'm jonesing for some crab legs, BUT the ones at the Grorcery stores are "Russian!" Any way to help "our" guys? Thx.
Golden crab legs are the best. Pull up copper river seafoods. They retail to the public. Ship iced down overnight. They have great smoked salmon. Also search Bristol bay seafoods. Good luck.
I've had Blue/Softshell, fresh King crab, Rock/Jonas crab, Box crab (pretty rare) and I'll take a nice fresh Dungeness crab over any other crab. Not sure if they're available fresh in the Midwest or East coast. Our season ends next week.
Fresh Dungeness...WOW! My first trip to Alaska was to Petersburg in 1989. We rented a skiff and stayed at a Forest Service cabin. With the skiff, we got some crab pots and ate dungeness every day...heaven!
